lace and more lace

dragged out that dress to wear this week. i have blogged about it before (back in the camera-face days), but it remains one of my legendary thrift finds.

and speaking of finds, last month at our local antique market i spotted some lacy bits on a table. they turned out to be old doll clothes, but right next to them there was a plastic grocery bag of lacy-ness. i fished out a couple filet stitch dress/cami yokes and started to figure out how much i was willing to spend on them while the vendor chatted with another customer. he must have seen me in the corner of his eye, because he interrupted his other conversation to let me know the whole bag was $10. sold! take me to my sewing machine....

wonder what goodies i will find this month...

  3. well that is simply amazing. That such goodness can still be thrifted. I'm talking about the bag of lace...but then i took the link to your famous dress, and shiznet that is one gooooooooooood dress. Love the length of it. I like the length, and it is not an easy length to find in linen/lace type fabric and looks to have a really nice shape to it too. I'm permanently in awe of your thrift luck/eyes. yeah, mebbe it's the eyes that have it.

  4. Oh my gosh! What luck and loveliness. Lace yolks, for some more of those epic t-shirt creations of yours? or perhaps something daintier? The possibilities, I'm sure, are endless.

  5. Ok, still blown away by the awesomeness of that lace dress, such a true beauty! Not to mention, that chambray shirt is perfection, I've been hoping to come across one just like it, still on the hunt though. May you continue to be lucky in lace!
